New girl in town and journalist Lexie, has been targeted by developers who want to sell her their vision for a marina at Mangles Bay. You can see photos in the trailer at the end of this post. It also highlights the controversy shadowing a beautiful area called Point Peron, in Rockingham, Western Australia, which is pitting developers and boat owners against those who want the area protected. ![]() My novelette, The Point of Love, is now up for pre-order at Amazon.įirst released in Serenity Press’s first romance anthology, Rocky Romance (2015), The Point of Love has a soft spot in my heart – it is, after all the first romance story I’ve ever written. At the end of a week filled with the day job, meetings, appointments, family dramas and a rejection (more on that another time), it’s nice to end the week on an upwards note. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() The reviewer said she loved and hated this book. ![]() So I read a few reviews to help me decide whether I should read it. I can’t remember how I found out about Stay with me. I supposed it was on the Goodreads recommendation list that drew me to it. Either he will be the one to free her from her past, or she will be the one to destroy him. But because of her sociopath tendencies, she knows it could only end in one of two ways. With green eyes, tattoos, and the voice of a poet, she is quickly drawn to him. Let’s see if I can explain this (if I could, I’d much rather quote her entire penultimate chapter, but that would spoil the book’s great sucker punch). So-called ‘overnight sensaion’ Sigrid Nunez ![]() Clearly Sigrid Nunez is that rare beast: the kind of writer who has mastered the art of reticence and compression, who knows that it’s often the silences that speak loudest, who knows how to skirt the porous thresholds of fiction and autobiography, self-conscious metafiction and plain-spoken confession – not to mention comedy and tragedy – without falling into any of the self-indulgence or pretentious philosophising that can bedevil such high-stakes writing.
